Well, after a long and actually enjoyable drive from the Cleveland area to Batavia, Ohio (Near Cincinnati) with my friend Joe to do some routine maintenance on his RV trailer stored there, I am now suffering from mild sunburn on my face and arms, proof that I have been spending waaaaay too much time in front of my computer indoors!
The new Trike is helping, but I tend to choose cooler evenings and overcast days to ride, lest I overheat. So even with shorts on, I am getting little sun.
Our trek yesterday was 12 hours, and in spite of convention traffic to and from Cleveland (evident as far south on I-71 on the south side of Columbus), we made very good time and had few delays. Just the usual Sunday drivers and other social rejects who eschew uniform traffic code laws.
We did note a higher than usual intensity of traffic, theorizing that the northbound was convention bound, both Conservative Republicans planning on attending the events here in town, and the paid professional protesters who will be protesting the influx of political delegates to a city that has been traditionally under the thumb of the Democrats and ethnic gangsters for more than 150 years.
We also postulated that much of the southbound traffic were the smart folks opting to evacuate the area for the duration of the convention and avoid any problems that may arise from the clashes between alternative dogmas, political points of view, and interpretations of Constitutional law and moral responsibilities!
I am not disappointed at all, but somewhat surprised, that even though the Black Lives Matter group had announced mass protests and violence scheduled for 37 cities on Friday the 15th, Cleveland having been named as one of the target cities for their unique and disturbing form of violent protest.
I scoured cleveland.com and the Internet all weekend for any report of BLM activity in the area, and none was reported at all. Not even any unusual violence or police response to false calls.
Chatter on the sub radar net (I try to keep my ears to the ground as much as possible and pay attention to any intel reported in a variety of outlets, sources, and individuals in the know) leans toward Philly being the target of all of the Liberal Democrat, Socialist, Anarchist, and Racially Motivated groups who are angry either at Hillary Clinton for her hi-jinks, or sore about their man Bernie Sanders for winning all of the states, but Hillary getting all of his delegates.
Any who have read my previous blogs know that I am an Independent voter, and have been since 1975, never swearing allegiance to any political party, but relying on my own brain, heart, eyes, and research to select the candidates I support at the polls. But I'm sure you have also gleaned that I am a Conservative, Christian, White Male, a former Naval Officer and Police Officer, hunter, competitive shooter, concealed carry licensee, and legal (and responsible) gun owner.
So I'm sure you can figure out my feelings about the Democrats in the current Administration, the folks of the BLM and anyone who supports their agendas, the mishandling of investigations at the Federal level (don't even get me started on Cuyahoga County political corruption and voter fraud) by the Justice Department, and the ludicrous calls for more anti-gun legislation in the wake of the recent high profile shootings (committed as usual by deranged registered Democrats who are usually off their anti-psychotic meds) and the hate leveled towards Americans of faith (specifically, Jews and Christians) and white people as the source of irritation for Islamic violence.
Really? My accepting Jesus Christ as my personal savior and friend, and following his teachings in how I treat my fellow man, is the reason that radical Islamic groups are demanding the destruction of Israel and America, and calling for the death of all Jews and Christians?
I call BS on the Left Wing.
Seems to me the first Christian Crusade in the 9th century was a European response to attacks on religious pilgrims to the Holy Land (where Christianity was founded by a Jew, and where most Jews and many Christians had been residing for generations, alongside the Arabs who eventually adopted the teachings of Mohammed in the 6th century A.D. (Yes, I am politically incorrect and proud of it! I do not use C.E.=Common Era; I still use the traditional A.D.=Anno Domini from the Latin, Year of our Lord, the counting of years in the current calendar from the estimated birth of Christ!).
And the Muslims I attended military college with at The Citadel in the 1970's, were middle class boys from Tehran who were being trained as Naval Officers of the Imperial Iranian Navy alongside my US Shipmates, and though they prayed to Allah and attended Mosque in Charleston, they were pretty secular and very pro western, obeying all of the uniform regulations of the South Carolina Corps of Cadets and the US Navy/II Navy, and wearing proper military headgear as required and were very tolerant of the rest of us.
I found them to be like any other cadet, just a bit harder to understand, as in spite of their impeccable English, they did have strong accents. But when my fire team leader, a Mr. Abbasbene who was a cadet corporal in “A” company, gave orders in English, we understood him very well.
I am at a loss as to how to combat all of the misinformation, lack of information, and downright lies spread in support of racism, violence, and mistrust of other Americans by such groups as the BLM and the like (interesting how much like the Democrat KKK they are! And not just the early Confederate version formed by disenchanted southerners founded in 1871 and broken up by 1875, but the made up version by filmmaker D.W. Griffiths in his 1915 silent film, Birth of a Nation based on based on Thomas Dixon Jr's 1905 book The Clansman, where he had the romanticized KKK Knights burning crosses and traveling in large numbers murdering and terrorizing Negroes across the post Civil War south. And of course what the second Democrat founded it's second iteration of the KKK, their organization from the 1920's, until it was finally shut down by 1940 by the US Department of Justice for murder, arson, and political intimidation among other serious offenses.
Now remember, the second iteration of the Klan was a social brotherhood, and operated with more members in the northern states than the southern, but they not only intimidated blacks and Catholics, but paraded in city parades down main street USA in their white robes & hoods and carrying flags.
They also controlled the local political machines, meaning that anyone who sought public office, locally, regionally, and even at the federal level, had to be approved by the local KKK Chapter. This usually meant that only way men could achieve office as a councilman, clerk, mayor, state legislator, governor, or Congressman, they had to join the Klan, or at least agree to supporting Klan politics!
Famous members were Harry S. Truman, Strom Thurmond, and Robert Byrd.
Yes, Democrats all! And all based on a romantic historical fantasy novel!
But whenever I share this with Democrats, they call me names, insist I am lying and/or making things up, and continue to try and declare that all of the racist Democrats left the Democrat party in the 50's and became Republicans.
Well, 8 Congressional Democrats of the 4oo+ US Representatives and 96 US Senators, did actually change parties in the 1950's. Including Strom Thurmond of South Carolina. But Thurmond later returned to the Democrats while still in office. So again we have the party of the left exaggerating facts to blur their true involvement in the racist agendas for more than 150 years.
I won't even detail the current KKK, also founded by Democrats in the early 1960's, to disrupt and attack the Civil Rights Movement. Who have hijacked the historic 3rd Confederate States Naval Jack as their “Hate Flag” for Blacks and Catholics, as have the racist and uber violent Skin Heads.
Why people who oppose racism and want equality for all under American Law, support Democrats at all, is way beyond me. As a YouTube channel favorite of mine, one Alfonzo Rachel, a black Christian Conservative Republican rants about in his videos aimed at educating Democrats and blacks to the wiles of the lying Democratic party, he often cites the “Plantation Mentality” of the rich Liberal elitist Democrats saying that they are the only ones that Blacks and other persecuted minorities should count on (and vote for) to help them, while they keep them dependent upon the government, and discourage them from even trying to rise above their manufactured racist victimization as a people.
And these folks buy it! I guess like the average Bernie Sanders supporter falls for the promises of free stuff while they live in their mom's basement, unemployed and blogging and tweeting on their latest gen iPhones, iPads, Macs, and tablets; the minorities buy the BS of promised continued subsidies in the form of welfare, section 8, food stamps, medicaid, free education, car and appliance vouchers, and other perks that the Democrats are promising will all disappear if the Republicans get elected.
Now I am no longer employed, having suffered a debilitating LMS stroke after hip surgery in 2012, and having worked my entire adult life and paying taxes and contributing to the Social Security System, but I had to fight (and eventually hire an attorney) to get my disability benefits, after being refused any social benefits (including my SSD) by the Democrats administering the system here in Ohio. My quest over a 14 month period not only confirmed suspicions about the politicization of the system as a reward for voting Democrat, but also confirmed the corruption of not only the people abusing the system, but the very officials and public servants employed within the system!
(Need I recap all of my previous blogging on Cuyahoga County Social Welfare Services, and the Cleveland Office of the Social Security Administration in refusing me any benefits and actually threatening me after I was declared permanently disabled? If you read the older blogs, I detail all of interactions I personally had with those agencies, and the bungling, rude, and ignorant bureaucrats that populate those same agencies.)
Bottom line of all of my involvement with seeking assistance: is that the government social assistance programs and Social Security Administration are corrupt, inefficient, and mismanaged, while denying people in true need and only helping those abusing the benefits; while the private agencies and groups who mostly rely on private charitable donations and very little government help, actually serve those in need and target the actual causes of homelessness and hunger, providing shelter, clothing, food, and medical assistance to folks that most would not even suspect of being in need at all.
We here in America have a great system of government and base laws protected by the US and State Constitutions, and guaranteeing freedom of speech and religious pursuits as well as personal liberty, but unfortunately, the people within this great system have corrupted it into a personal profit machine and are neglecting and abusing the electorate, manipulating laws and the justice system, denying those in true need service that would assist them, while handing those same benefits and services out to people freely in return for votes and favors.
As the saying goes, “The only difference between the mafia and the government, is that the mafia actually turns a profit!”
And I have witnessed this for many decades now, especially in local politics here in the NE Ohio region, and specifically in Cleveland and Cuyahoga County.
Sorry, I am ranting again, and mostly preaching to the choir. But I am so disturbed, that I submitted the following letter to the President, both Ohio Senators, and my representative. Though somehow the site I used to generate the letter thinks that my Maple Heights PO Box address (at the Bedford Post Office, where I had been a resident since 2003) puts me in district 9 of Marcy Kaptur of Toledo, a 30 year Democrat vet of Congress, when I have been in the 11th Congressional District since 2003. represented by Marcia L. Fudge, who had been running unopposed as a Liberal Democrat for her seat since she was appointed to replace Stephanie Tubbs Jones, another career Liberal Democrat who usually ran unopposed.
Anyway, here is the body of the letter I sent today:

Ma'am/Sirs:
I am greatly disturbed by the lax way in which the the Justice Department and Congress has handled the reports of mishandling of classified materials by former Sec'y of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton, as described in detail by FBI Director Comey's statement to the press on 5 July 2016, when he detailed her carelessness and lack of proper protocols in the handling of sensitive information in her department.
In the 1970's, I had D.I.S.C.O. "Secret" clearance and was well schooled in the handling of classified defense documents, including my responsibilities after separating from that position at a Naval Weapons Development Facility, of reporting anyone who might inquire as to what I encountered while employed there, what they manufactured and were developing, and to not share anything about what I experienced there or any details about the facility or the personnel affiliated with it.
My duty in not sharing those details, and reporting any individuals attempting to glean any information related to that time in my life has now lapsed after so many decades, though I personally choose to continue to maintain my vigilance and not share info.
It is my understanding that the parts of the "Espionage Act of 1917" from which my security clearance was administered (mostly from the post WWII and the Cold War era amendments of that act of WWI) have no expiration or statute of limitations (I was told 30 years was the time frame of my duty, by the FBI Special Agent at the facility in charge of security clearances).
I know of many military personnel convicted and cashiered from their respective service branches that were charged under the Uniform Code of Military Justice and the Espionage Act, for much lessor offenses than Mrs. Clinton was described of committing by Director Comey.
So how is it that Mrs. Clinton has still not been indicted on these serious charges? Even after the head of the FBI detailed her mishandling and her failure to correct it over a long term?
I would also call into question the fact that the director of the FBI, a part of the US justice Department, investigated her and her staff's handling of said materials, and even after listing all of the issues investigated and stating that they are chargeable offenses, still recommended that she not be indicted!
I am sorry, but this and past so called investigations by the US Justice Department have proven to be no more than great facades, almost like they are just political clown acts, failing to find any wrongdoing by any member of the current administration, in spite of overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
Is it not your duty as a duly elected and sworn members of either the Legislative or the Executive Branches of the US Government to prevent abuses of justice like this, ferret out the persons responsible, and guarantee equal justice for all under the law?
Or has all of that changed since I learned it in grammar school in the 60's and college and the police academy in the 1970's? Is my oath as a former Naval Reserve Officer and sworn police officer, no longer valid in defending the US Constitution?
I am holding you responsible to do something about these ongoing abuses of the justice system.

I had to do something, as I cannot sit still with all of this extreme political BS and abuses of procedure and lack of due process being committed during an election cycle.
On a lighter note, I have completed the installation of homemade screens to my windows, allowing me open them all here in rural Bath Township, and take full advantage of my fans to stay cool, except of course during our frequent power outages when either high winds blow the transformer or the ancient electrical breakers fail.
I still need to attend to the screen door, a poorly fitting aluminum unit that has a torn screen section. Large Black Mud Dauber Wasps have constructed a nest on the door closer unit, and it appears to be occupied. So I will turn that over to management when I next see Ed, the maintenance guy.
I have decided that with my lack of sensation still present on the right side of my body, and left side of my face, leaving me unable to tell hot/cold or dull/sharp, and the fact that I cut and burn myself so often without realizing it, that I should not attempt to battle stinging insects at all!
Well, gonna take another shower to cool off, then maybe put some mileage on the trike when it cools a bit today.
